Filming part one

I just finished filming with Oliver for the lead in my video, however despite giving him the song and lyrics a week ago he hasn't looked at them or listened to the song. He is not very confident about the filming and I fell the lighting wasn't good ever.
We will try again tomorrow in which I will get him to go through the song and get to know it. I will also try and find another location.

Paramore

This is Paramore, Now. I like this video for the use of powdered paint along with the action which almost makes violence look better with bright colors rather than blood. I also like the suden brighness in the clear change to stop the violence.

Panic at the Disco

This is Panic At The Disco, This is Gospel. I like this video for its song and also that the video does not look like it has been edited and that it is one continuous piece of film.

Main film location

I am going to call the storage facility and ask to view the unit I will be using to film before hand. I will then get something scheduled.

Camera Booking

I have booked a camera and lighting for over the Christmas holidays 20th December- 6th January

Filming the performance

I'm going to be filming my performance this weekend starting Friday to Sunday. I have my performer Ollie who will be doing the lip syncing and the setting will be dark.

focus group feedback on print production

The focuse group were very positive about the prints and they really liked them.

So fare I am finished a day early so I am getting some feedback on it and will make any amendments tomorrow. will be finished by the deadline.

the print production deadline has been moved from 27th November to the 29th of November. I will be able to finish my work on time/ earlier than deadline

This is a basic plan of what my magazine advert layout will be

Fonts

Left to right; tall handwriting, brush writing, typewriter, retro, destroyed, cartoon

These are some fonts that I am considering to use and I have asked my focus group what they think of them.

• They liked the typewriter style font but felt it was frequently used
• destroyed font did not suit the genre
• cartoon was good and suited the genre
• brush writing was good but too mainstream
• tall handwriting was very simplistic and suited the genre.

Magazine advert

 These are a variety of magazine adverts for CDs. The conventions are;

• Title of artist is the biggest size followed by the album  and then the reviews.
• The magazines have reviews on the front with ratings or statements.
• Image of the artist fills entire page.
• The most popular artists will have full page adverts while the least mainstream artist will only be able to afford half page adverts.

After looking at these magazine covers I am going to use the conventions I have found in my own magazine advert.

Location confirmation

This is the email i got through to confirm  that I can use a storage unit to film part of my music video.
this means that all my locations are all sorted and I have permission to use them all.

casting issue

Due to the fact Jess hasn't replied to any of my messages, it has made me worry about her reliability. I have had to make the decision of drooping jess in order to keep things running smoothly.





However Katie has offered to take her place in the casting.
